I Have a DSLR!

I can feel fancy now! A long while ago, John said that if I could find a DSLR for $400 or under, I could get one. I’m pretty sure that he didn’t think I’d be able to find one for that, but I eventually did! I was at the PX one day, and I saw a Canon EOS Rebel T1i for $390something and change. Woot! I’m now following the photography tutorials over at It’s Overflowing, and am learning a lot. I’m trying to take pictures every couple of days so I don’t forget what I’ve learned. Here are some of the shots:

I’m still using the flash on a lot of them, but I’m hoping one of the lessons shows me how to change the settings while the “no flash” option is set…because right now, I don’t see how one does that. But besides that, what do you think of the photos?

    I just got my first DSLR too! I have camera parts and accessories and booklets spread all over the coffee table! I’m heading over to check out the tutorials you mentioned in here too! Congrats!

      It’s crazy, right? I didn’t realize it until The Bean was born, but time flies by so quickly!
