Dressed up for “Super Hero Day” during Spirit Week, 2018

I started out my career as a resource specialist. During my student teaching, I worked with students in grades 3-6, doing a variety of pull-out small groups, push-in academic support, and behavioral support.

My first year of teaching was spent as the resource specialist for an entire school, grades K-6. This mix of behavior, social, and academic supports made my first year an interesting one! The collaboration I had with the general education teachers was fantastic, and I learned so much from my wonderful colleagues.

I look forward this coming fall, when I’ll be returning to my resource roots (sort-of) as a co-teacher of 6th grade ELA, with an additional study skills class!
